The Northern Ireland Regional Care Pathway for the Treatment of Eating Disorders was launched in October 2016.

In addition, A Guide for People Using Eating Disorder Services along with ‘Early Intervention in Eating Disorders: An Information Leaflet for General Practice’ were also launched. These documents for the first time provide clear and precise information about the services available here for eating disorders and what someone can expect if they are referred to the specialist service. The information leaflet for G.P’s, who are generally the first point of contact, encourages early intervention and provides information on signs and symptoms to be aware of.

If you or your loved one is experiencing an eating disorder, it is important to be aware of what services are available to you and indeed what treatment you can expect to receive. These documents will provide you with this information.

EDA (N.I.) is here to support you in your journey, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Please read the 'Pathway to Care' leaflet for further information.
